To reward the extraordinary research supervisor in order to enhance and develop great learning and supervision for young researchers at the faculty of Health Sciences at Aarhus University.
Who may be nominated
All supervisors supervising pre-graduate researchers at the Faculty of Health, Aarhus University.

It is possible to nominate a supervisor after submission of thesis. The nominated supervisor can either be main supervisor or co-supervisor. The nominee must be affiliated with Health, Aarhus University or a hospital in the Central Region of Denmark.
The nominees are assessed on their availability to the student researcher, commitment to the project, capability to take care of unexpected problems as well as facilitating network, stays abroad for the student, and participation at international congresses.
The extraordinary supervisor helps the student succeed as a researcher, as an excellent communicator and collaborator and as a future professional in health sciences.
How is the nomination taking place?
All student researchers enrolled at Health, Aarhus University can send a short recommendation of a supervisor/co-supervisor to Selskab for Medicinsk Studenterforskning. You can send your recommendation by submitting it through our form below.
The suggestion letter can be sent either from one student researcher or on behalf of a group of student researchers.

Deadline for submitting your nomination for the JCD student research supervisor prize 2019 is 29th September 2019. The following years the deadline will be 3 weeks in advance of the “Faglig Dag” held in the fall semester.

About the prize
The JCD student research supervisor prize is awarded to an extraordinary supervisor supervising pre-graduate researchers at the Faculty of Health, Aarhus University. The prize is named after professor Jens Christian Djurhuus, who was the Head of Department at Department of Clinical Medicine, Aarhus University from 1978 until 2012.
Jens Christian Djurhuus is also an Honorary Member of the Society of Medical Student Research (Selskab for Medicinsk Studenterforskning).
